CIL programme 2019 in Abidjan: reflections from Mary Hyam

What an honour and a privilege it was to be invited to represent the Lwanga District (Kenya, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Mozambique and South Africa) at the African Regional meeting of the International Lasallian Council (CIL) in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, in August 2019. The participants represented Lasallian institutions from all over Africa – both English and French speaking countries.

 The delegates of the Region to the International Assembly for the Lasallian Educational Mission (AIMEL) of 2020 in Rome prepared their proposals during this CIL session.

The two-week meeting comprised a period of Lasallian formation followed by reflection on how our districts have carried out the goals of the 2013 AIMEL. We then worked on proposals, which will be submitted for consideration at the next International Assembly in 2020. » Read more

CIL 2019 à Abidjan: partage de Mary Hyam

Quel honneur et quel privilège d’avoir été invitée à représenter le District Charles Lwanga (Kenya, Érythrée, Éthiopie, Nigeria, Mozambique et Afrique du Sud) au CIL de la Région Lasallienne Africaine à Abidjan en Côte d’Ivoire, en août 2019. Les participants représentaient les institutions lasalliennes de toute l’Afrique, tant anglophone que francophone. Les délégués de la Région à l’Assemblée Internationale pour la Mission Educative Lasallienne (AIMEL) de 2020 à Rome ont préparé leurs propositions au cours de ce CIL.

La formation des deux semaines comprenait une période de formation lasallienne suivie d’une réflexion sur la façon dont nos Districts ont réalisé les objectifs de l’Assemblée Internationale pour la Mission de 2013.
